If You’re Not Ready to Die, You’re Not Living!

FORGET NOT GODS BENEFITS – DAY 13

Today was “Cow Appreciation Day” at Chick-fil-A. On “Cow Appreciation Day”, any guest in cow attire may select any breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée. Children dressed like a cow may select a Kid’s Meal. So my daughter and I loaded up her three children…all of us in our cow apparel… and headed out for a fun lunch.

Chick-fil-A has a lot of commercials with the cows holding signs which say, “Eat More Chiken”, misspelled by design. The reason the cows are so appreciative is because you are eating chicken rather than beef. The point being that they get to live.

Many people have a fear of death. For most people it is the fear of the unknown. The fact is every one of us is going to die. That is unless the rapture of The Church takes place first.

You need to be ready to die right now. Being ready to die means you are also ready to live. Too many people are always living it “safe”. Do you live your life not going places and doing things because?

  • I might have an accident and die.
  • What if the food is tainted?
  • What if the airplane crashes?
  • What will people think?
  • Where will the money come from?
  • I’m afraid…
  • And so forth….

.

When people are close to death and reflecting, one of the things you will often hear them say is, “I wish I would have taken more risks. I wish I wouldn’t have worried so much. I wish I wouldn’t have stayed at the job I hated so much and stepped out to find a job that brought me joy. I wish I would have spent more time with my family. I wish I would have taken more vacations.”  You very seldom if ever will hear, “I wish I had been more cautious. I wish I had spent more time at work.”

It is time for you to start truly living your life! What has God laid on your heart to do that you have been fearful to step out and do? What are you passionate about that you have allowed other people’s opinions or other fears to stop you? What is it that you would like to say to someone?

Remember, being ready to die means you are also ready to live. Jesus came to give you life and life more abundantly! You need to be determined to enjoy your life now! We have no guarantee that tomorrow will come! You’ve probably heard people say the present is a gift. Enjoy the gift of today!

John 10:10Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).

Ephesians 2:10Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), [a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

Are you ready to live the good life God prearranged and made ready for you to live?

The most important question I have for you today is, “If you were to die today, do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you would go to heaven? If you cannot 100% emphatically proclaim, “Yes”, then I invite you to pray this prayer out loud:

Heavenly Father,

I admit that I am not sure if I were to die in the next 5 minutes that I would go to heaven to live with you for eternity.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God – Your only Son, Father God.

I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sin according to the scriptures.

I believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day and that He is now seated next to You in heaven ever interceding for me.

I acknowledge I am a sinner and ask You to forgive me of my sin.

I receive Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me. Jesus thank You for dying on the cross for me!

I decree that if I were to die anytime in the future that I am forgiven and I am going to heaven to live with you forever.

I confess that You, Father God have God-given assignments for me here on earth. I choose to fulfill my assignments.

I have a destiny in You, Father God. I am not going to heaven one day before you are ready for me to come! I choose life!

I choose the Anointing – Your manifested Presence. God, here I am. Use me!

In the Name of Jesus,

Amen

(Prayer taken from 7 Keys to The Anointing “We have this treasure in earthen vessels” by Becky Farina Cain

Now that you have received Jesus Christ as your God and Savior, I tell you as a minister of the Gospel that you are saved! You are forgiven! You are going to heaven when you die and you have God-given assignments to complete here on earth. You are not an accident. You are here by divine destiny and by divine design!

You have received God’s greatest benefit! It is time for you to begin actually living the life Christ died for you to live!

We are endeavoring to find all of God’s benefits for us so that we can obey and enjoy Psalms 103:2 which tells us to “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—”. It is time to read our passage out loud and to meditate on it. I am anticipating great and awesome end results! READY? READ.

Psalm 103:1-5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

Psalm 103
[A Psalm] of David.

1 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—
3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
5 Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!
